Frequently Asked Questions

Piano manufacturers recommend a home piano be tuned every 6–12 months to maintain optimal sound and stability. Homes with fluctuating humidity or temperature may require more frequent tuning.
For pianos owned by professional pianists, churches, or concert venues, quarterly tuning and maintenance is recommended.
Regular tuning keeps your piano responsive and prevents costly repairs. -
A pitch raise is necessary when a piano is significantly out of tune, often after 2–3 years without maintenance. It carefully raises the tension on the strings to bring the piano back to standard pitch before a precision tuning.
-
Regulation ensures the keys, hammers, and pedals work together perfectly. Even a piano that is in tune may feel uneven or sluggish if regulation is needed. Our Standard Package and It’s Been A While Package both include touch-up regulation to keep your piano responsive and comfortable to play.
